Hon. Grand Master Linda Park was inducted into the Official Taekwon-Do Hall of Fame in 2011, recognized for her leadership, dedication, and contribution to promoting Taekwon-Do worldwide through the Global Taekwon-Do Federation.

Leadership Philosophy

As President, with over fifty years of experience in Tae Kwon Do, her focus has remained centered on preserving the philosophy and traditional values of martial arts. She believes that without protocol, discipline, and respect, the true martial artist will gradually disappear — a concern reflected in the changing attitudes and behaviour seen throughout modern martial arts culture.

Under her leadership, the GTF continues to emphasize technical integrity, humility, discipline, and respect as the foundation of authentic Taekwon-Do training.

Preserving Traditional Taekwon-Do

GTF Masters and senior instructors represent the next generation of leaders shaped directly through the teachings of Grand Master Park Jung Tae. Through their combined efforts, the technical standards, traditions, and philosophy established by him continue to be preserved and carried forward internationally.

The GTF does not believe that Olympic-style Taekwon-Do alone fully represents the complete martial art of Tae Kwon Do. While the Federation supports competition and tournament development, it maintains that sport competition represents only one aspect of the art.

To preserve Taekwon-Do as a complete martial discipline, all elements of training must continue to be practiced equally: fundamentals, forging, patterns, sparring, self-defense, and philosophy.

As a traditional Tae Kwon Do federation, the GTF remains committed to maintaining high technical standards while supporting the broader interests of all Taekwon-Do practitioners worldwide. The Federation believes that preserving the foundations of this Korean martial art is essential to protecting both its technical integrity and its deeper philosophical values.
